Help Pat and Ian Adams with Medical Expenses

Family and friends are starting a Go Fund Me for Pat Adams and his son, Ian Adams. In September Ian was having severe headaches that led to a trip to the Emergency Room, where it was discovered that there were two tumors on Ian’s brain. Ian was immediately transferred to Abbott Hospital in Minneapolis for surgery the following day. The team of doctors were able to remove one of the tumors and had it sent for biopsy, which came back with the unfortunate news that it was cancerous. The cancer is a Medulloblastoma, which is rare in Ian’s age group (he is 29). The good news is that it is treatable with radiation and chemotherapy. As Ian was recovering from his surgery, his team of doctors then conferred with the tumor board which consists of many doctors from various hospitals. It was decided that the second tumor should also be removed by a more extensive surgery. Shortly thereafter, the doctors removed as much of the tumor as they could. The second biopsy came back with the same diagnosis as the first tumor. Ian is now recovering at home and in good spirits considering all that he has been through. The current plan is for him to start treatment at Mayo Clinic in a few weeks. They will need help covering expenses (medical, gas, food, lodging, etc) as they start this journey to recovery.
