Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
It is with deep reverence and heartfelt sorrow that we share the news of Pastor Vastie Telusma’s homegoing on April 16, 2025. Our beloved sister, mother, and spiritual leader has gone to be with the Lord. She finished her race faithfully and now rests in the eternal presence of the Savior she so dearly loved and served.
“The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” – Job 1:21
This loss marks a profound moment of grief for her MEDEMO spiritual family, her loved ones, and the body of Christ at large. Pastor Vastie touched countless lives with her unwavering faith, compassion, and dedication to the Gospel. Even through her battle with cancer, her heart remained steadfast in God’s promises.
Pastor Vastie was a cancer survivor, having undergone a major gastrectomy to remove cancer from her stomach. Sadly, the cancer returned aggressively in her small intestine, weakening her to the point where she could no longer eat, drink, or work. Through it all, she remained full of hope and faith in God’s will.
Though her physical body could no longer fight, her spirit never gave up.
She leaves behind a beloved young son and an active ministry in the Dominican Republic, where she served faithfully for years. We are now raising funds to:
Cover her remaining medical and hospitalization expenses
Assist with memorial and homegoing service costs
Provide ongoing support for her son
Sustain her ministry and legacy in the Dominican Republic
We ask you, friends, family, and fellow believers, to help us honor her life and legacy. Your support will be a lasting testimony to the seeds of faith she planted and the lives she touched.
Pastor Vastie didn’t lose the battle—she has won the victory, and is now rejoicing in glory.
Thank you for your prayers, your kindness, and your generosity.
To God be the glory.
