Our names are Susan Stucco and Kathy Wrablik. We have been both coworker and friend to Tim Robinson for many years at Mercy Hospital-STL.
For more than 40 years, Pastor Tim has walked alongside others in their darkest moments — offering faith, comfort, and hope. Now, he is facing one of the hardest battles of his own life after being diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkin Lymphoma.
To meet Tim is to love him. He is known as Chaplain Tim, Pastor Tim, friend, and most importantly, son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and “Papa.” Above all, Tim is a servant—through both his life and his work—because of his deep faith in Jesus. Now, we have the opportunity to give back that same care and support to Tim as his own life has been unexpectedly turned upside down.
On March 6, 2026, Tim was diagnosed with Stage IV Hodgkin Lymphoma. What began as a routine visit for hernia surgery took a shocking turn when the doctor discovered only one small hernia but two large masses. Further testing confirmed the cancer diagnosis. On March 16, 2026, Tim will begin chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments that are currently projected to last for the next six months.
Many people know that Tim is the sole financial provider for his family. His wife, Amy, and his son, Bryce, both live with significant disabilities and rely on Tim’s steady care and support. Tim expresses his love for his family through his daily actions—often coming home after work to care for the house, cook meals, and ensure that Amy and Bryce are cared for. Providing for and protecting his family has always been one of Tim’s greatest priorities.
As Tim begins this difficult treatment journey, he will need to step away from work to focus on treatment, rest, and healing. This creates a significant financial challenge for the family, as the person who normally supports their household will temporarily be unable to do so. Along with lost income, there will be the added weight of medical expenses and the ongoing costs of caring for their home and family.
This is an unexpected chapter for a man who is known for being energetic, active, and life-giving to everyone he encounters. While Tim will face this challenge with faith, hope, and resilience, it is a great deal for him and his family to carry alone.
To help ease this burden, we are inviting those who are able to join us in supporting Tim and his family during this time.
First, we ask for your prayers—for Tim, for his family, and for his oncology team. Tim’s faith is central to who he is, and the power of prayer is something that continues to sustain him with hope, peace, and strength.
Second, if you are able to give financially, your support would help ease the strain created by medical expenses and the loss of income during Tim’s treatment. Donations will go directly to the family, with Tim’s daughter, Brianna, managing the funds to ensure their needs are met. Your generosity will allow Tim to focus on what matters most—his healing and time with his family.
During times like this, we are reminded of the biblical story of the paralytic man who was carried on a stretcher by four friends to Jesus to be healed. These friends believed in the power of Jesus’ love and were determined to bring their friend to Him—even lowering him through a thatched roof so he could be placed at Jesus’ feet. Scripture tells us that Jesus was moved by the faith of these friends.
The message of this story reminds us that throughout life we will have opportunities to be “stretcher bearers”—people who carry others through love, prayer, support, and assistance when unexpected challenges arise. At other times, we may find ourselves on the stretcher, needing the support of others. In many ways, life was never meant to be carried alone.
While a cancer diagnosis is never a welcome guest in someone’s life, it does open the door for others to step forward with compassion and care. Thank you for being a stretcher bearer for Tim and his family—through your prayers, your encouragement, and, if you are able, your financial support.
Your love and generosity mean more than words can express. If able, please share this opportunity with your community.
