RE: A Call for Medical Sponsorship with a Goal of $30,000–$35,000

My name is Solomon Nkugwa, Founder of NileBridge International (NBI). With deep urgency and compassion, NBI calls on all of us to chip in on behalf of Pastor Simon Peter Okello. This Pastor is a 72-year-old Ugandan clergyman who has spent his life in service to others. Today, he is asking for our collective help and

consideration:

On April 17, 2024, Pastor Okello was involved in a tragic automobile accident that left him

paralyzed, immobile, and in unrelenting pain. Since that day, he has endured severe physical

trauma, numbness, and complete dependency — a heartbreaking fate for a man who once

stood on pulpits and at doorsteps – bringing comfort and hope to many others.

For over 15 months, he has pursued every available medical treatment in Uganda, but there

has been constraints in specialized facilities and medical attention – leaving his condition

beyond the reach of local care. In October 2024, doctors issued a formal medical referral for

treatment abroad, where advanced intervention could bring relief — and perhaps a chance

to regain some mobility and peace.

However, he has to deal with a steep financial cost:

These funds will cover:

• Critical international medical procedures

• Airfare for Pastor Okello and his required caretaker

• Temporary accommodation and rehabilitation care

• Travel documentation (visas and vaccinations)

• Post-operative reviews and recovery support

• Basic care needs and medical contingencies

Pastor Okello needs our help. He has already spent all his life savings on survival and yet he

now faces this medical emergency. The Good news is that his rehabilitation and healing can be made possible with all our help.

This campaign honors a man who has served others and now needs us to lend a hand.
