For over 30 years, Pastor Dave has dedicated his life to serving others. From counselling congregants in times of need to shovelling snowy driveways for elderly neighbours, his care and compassion have touched countless lives across Canada.

But now, Pastor Dave and his family need your help.

 

David and his wife are the proud parents of three adult children, two of whom—Allan and Aaron—were born with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Allan, who lives with them, is in the later stages of CF. He requires specialized care, frequent trips from Swift Current to Saskatoon for medical appointments, and constant access to life-sustaining equipment like oxygen.

 

What is Cystic Fibrosis?

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disorder that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. Those living with CF experience a buildup of thick, sticky mucus that can lead to severe respiratory and digestive issues. Over time, it causes persistent lung infections, difficulty breathing, and progressive lung damage.

 

Allan’s battle with CF involves daily medications, treatments, and the use of specialized medical equipment, including oxygen support. Frequent hospital visits and specialized care are essential for his quality of life, and as such, so is having access to a reliable means of transportation. The physical and emotional toll of CF affects not only Allan but his entire family, who provide unwavering care and support.

 

The Urgent Need

Their current vehicle, (2007 caravan 370,000k) with high mileage and frequent breakdowns, can no longer meet their needs. The family urgently requires a reliable van that can safely transport Allan, along with his wheelchair and oxygen equipment. This vehicle is also essential for Pastor Dave to continue his ministry work, supporting his family and serving his community.

 

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help David and his family purchase a dependable vehicle. Alternatively, if you or someone you know has a van or a similar vehicle to donate, the family would be deeply grateful. The van should have low mileage and be equipped to accommodate Allan’s medical equipment and wheelchair.
