This is my roommate, Michael “Dilligaf” Duncan. He has been my brother for over 30 years now and he has had it very difficult physically over the past 12 years or so. He was injured on the job as he was crushed between two truck engines on the assembly line, severely damaging his spine. Essentially his life changed in a heartbeat because he has lived in constant pain since then. He writhes in pain at all hours, getting maybe 2-3 hours sleep a night. He is on disability that barely covers his medication and food. Every day tasks we all take for granted are extremely difficult for him…changing clothes, putting on shoes, etc. He would be homeless, but I would not let that happen…my bills would be the same whether he lived here or not, so he doesn’t need to pay anything to have a roof over his head. He is an Air Force Veteran, extremely proud to have served and defend our nation.

But now he is in for the greatest battle he has ever faced, much worse than the pain he has endured in the last decade plus. He is now facing a cancer diagnosis, with a combination or individual organs being affected, including the liver, pancreas, kidneys, and lungs. We hope to know more in the next week. Because he barely makes it by as it is, I am asking for anything you can help provide financially to help with medical expenses moving forward, daily living expenses, and although we don’t want to think about it, potentially funeral expenses if that’s what fate has in store.
