Hello everyone. My name is Angelina Martin and I am the daughter of Pascual, the person this fundraiser is for. I reside in the United States and have lived here for the past 25 years. Most of my other siblings live in this country as well. My mother and sister are the only care takers of my father. For the past 25 years, I have provided for my family in Guatemala. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there has been a decline in the amount of work that I have which makes providing for two families difficult. My father has recently had a lump on his neck that has been growing rapidly. When taken to the doctor we discovered that it is cancer. Due to the lump he is unable to eat. My father lives in Guatemala where treatment is difficult. He is a farmer who lives in the farmlands of Guatemala, far from the city. The nearest hospital is at least a five hour drive from his home. Solely driving from home to the hospital will be a big expense in itself. There is no healthcare, and no way to support the massive expense of chemotherapy. Every doctor visit will cost us and our family. He is needing to undergo eight sessions of chemo. After the chemo is over, depending on how the tumor looks, surgery may be required. Please help us through these difficult times.
