Help Pascaline—and Over 400 Families in Beni, Congo—Find Shelter, Food, and Hope
Dear friends, supporters, and compassionate hearts,
My name is Innocent, and I recently returned from a life-changing journey to Congo—a place I call home, and a land currently torn by war and displacement. What I witnessed in Beni shook me to my core. Over 400 families have fled the violence in Goma, seeking refuge in Beni, only to find themselves sleeping outside—under the sun, under the rain, with no shelter, no food, and no safety.
Here in America, we are fortunate. We have roofs over our heads, clean water, and access to basic care. But in Beni, I met mothers with newborns sleeping on the ground. I met children coughing from sickness, hungry and exposed. I met people who have lost everything—and yet still hold on to hope.
With the little money I had, I gathered 100 families and distributed food: rice, beans, cooking oil, salt, soap, and small cash assistance. But it wasn’t enough. The need is overwhelming, and I made a promise—to them and to myself—that I would not stop until help arrived.
Meet Pascaline Judith
Among those I met was Pascaline Judith, a young mother whose story haunts me. Her husband was murdered just months ago, forcing her to flee with her children. On the road to Beni, she gave birth to twins—a boy and a girl. They are just one month old. She also has an older daughter. All of them are sleeping outside.
Pascaline is exhausted. Her babies are sick. She has no medicine, no shelter, no support. I want to raise enough to give her a safe place to live, access to healthcare and therapy, and help her start a small business so she can rebuild her life with dignity.
In Beni, a simple house can cost as little as $10–$20. That means your donation—no matter how small—can literally change someone’s life.
Time Is Running Out
People are dying of hunger and sickness. Pregnant women are sleeping on the ground. Children are growing up in trauma. I am the only one here in America who can advocate for them. I’ve seen their faces. I’ve heard their stories. And I’ve made it my mission to find help.
This is not just about charity. It’s about humanity. It’s about standing with those who have no one else.
