Help Parks Beat His Tumor

Urgent! Please read! Please share! My name is Mitch McGrath and I am sponsoring this page for my friends Drew and Stephanie Jarrett. A friend of theirs, Bonnie Pierce, came across a homeless man in Renaissance Park in the fall/winter of 2021. The homeless man had a very small puppy. We would later find out the puppy was 9 to 10 weeks old, way too soon to be away from its mother and littermates. The homeless man was living under a picnic table in the park. Bonnie, being a dog lover, immediately sensed something was not right. She knew if this puppy stayed with this man in the elements this time of year, it was certain death. She talked to the homeless man and inquired about the puppy. The man would barely talk. Over several days, Bonnie would go to the park and look for the man. Thanks to her tenacity, the man agreed to turn the puppy over to her in exchange for some cash. Enter my friends Drew and Stephanie. When they heard the story of the little puppy, they talked it over and decided they wanted to give the puppy a safe and secure forever home. Even though they had 3 dogs, they didn’t hesitate to add another to their loving family. Since he was rescued from Renaissance Park, they named the puppy Parks.

A few months ago, Stephanie noticed some blood on the sheets where Parks sleeps. She noticed that his mouth was swollen and he wouldn't eat on one side of his mouth. Parks then went to his primary vet and they did a complete blood count, chemistry panel, and a punch biopsy. The mass in Parks' mouth was diagnosed as a plasma cell tumor. Their doctor informed them that Parks would need a lot of medical care, but he could be cured and he could live a very good life. Drew and Steph did not hesitate. They wanted to start treatment immediately. Parks would need at least 6 rounds of chemotherapy. After each round, blood work is needed, and several CT scans to track the tumor. On and on, the costs added up. The Jarretts did not hesitate; Parks is family and that’s what family does.

Progress has been made, but the tumor is still causing problems. Surgery to remove the tumor is needed. As part of the surgery, it will be necessary to remove part of his snout, but he will be cured of the tumor and be able to have a great life.

Money is needed. The money for Parks' care up until this point has come completely from the Jarretts. Please help. Please give. $5, $10, $20, whatever you can afford. If you can’t give, please share this post. The surgery will cost upwards of $7,000. Please help Park’s.

Peace, love, and understanding.
