As a lifelong advocate, I've dedicated my career to fighting for others. Now, I'm fighting for my son, Parker. Since late 2024, Parker’s behaviors have led to severe self-harm and a brain injury, yet we’ve been repeatedly turned away by hospitals and blocked by Texas regulations that fail non-verbal children. This Autism Awareness Month, I’m sharing our story to advocate for Parker and all families in this broken system.

Parker’s own wishes are simple: he just wants to go to school and ride the bus again. We are seeking support to provide the 24-hour intensive home care he needs to stay safe until we can transition him to a specialized program where he can truly thrive. I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated on his progress.

The journey has been incredibly difficult, and every day brings new challenges. Despite the setbacks, Parker continues to show resilience and hope. Our family is doing everything we can to ensure he receives the care and opportunities he deserves.
