EMERGENCY FUNDING FOR QUIN'S MEDICAL BILLS
Donation protected
On Tuesday, July 28th, Quin was attacked. This wasn't a random attack: he was harmed out of hate, because of his relationship with Paris, a trans woman in Charlotte, NC. His attack was a direct act of transphobia, queerphobia, and violent white supremacy.
Because of this attack, Quin and Paris are in need of EMERGENCY FUNDING for Quin's medical bills. He will need funds for reconstructive facial surgery, eye surgery, and several nights spent in the ICU as he recovers from the shock of this violent attack. Because we live in a country where affordable healthcare is difficult to come by, especially for QTBIPOC, they are facing bills of TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS to keep Quin safe. This is a steep cost that we as a community need to come together to support AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
Please reflect on whatever privilege you may have access to and share what you can with Quin and Paris as they navigate this traumatic experience. Please also share this with your support networks and social media platforms - and remind folks that without the important contributions of QTBIPOC folks in our community, no queer folks would be able to enjoy the liberties we do today. When the society we operate within allows racist and transphobic violence to run rampant, COMMUNITY CARE IS THE MOST ESSENTIAL THING WE CAN DO!
WE KEEP US SAFE! SHOW UP FOR PARIS AND QUIN!
