Hi, I’m Brian Rowland — a proud Canadian Paralympian from Merrickville, Ontario.

Ten years ago, my life changed in an instant. I sustained a spinal cord injury in a devastating accident, leaving me completely paralyzed from the waist down. In those early days, I faced unimaginable challenges. But through it all, one thing remained constant: my love for sport.

Today, I’m training with everything I have for the chance to represent Canada again at the 2026 Milano/Cortina Paralympic Winter Games in para alpine skiing. I’m beyond excited to wear the maple leaf on the world’s biggest stage.

But I can’t do it alone.

Getting to the Paralympic Games comes with significant costs. From travel, airfare, accommodations, meals, to highly specialized sporting equipment— like custom seating, leg covers, shocks, outriggers, and skis — all add up quickly. Every dollar raised brings me one step closer to the start gate in Italy and allow me to perform at my best.
