Help Papia Overcome Stage 3 Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Jennifer Smith and myself are reaching out with an urgent and heartfelt request for our best friend, Papia.
Papia is only 29 years young and a devoted friend, sister, and cherished daughter. Despite her ongoing positive outlook and admirable strength, Papia has been plagued with the financial burden of cancer treatment and the coinciding surgeries.
Recently, she received the devastating diagnosis of Stage 3 Metastatic Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, a particularly aggressive form of breast cancer that has spread beyond its original site. This news has come at an incredibly challenging time for Papia, her family and friends.
Papia’s treatment plan is extensive and includes surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. These treatments are vital but also incredibly costly. The medical bills are already piling up, and the financial burden is overwhelming. Papia is in the process of moving back to Augusta so that she can be closer to family as she undergoes treatment.
Papia has had no choice but to miss days of work as she must prioritize chemotherapy treatment and prepares for her upcoming double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
During these hard times, she would benefit greatly from the support of her friends, family and community to lessen this significant financial burden for all past, present, and future surgeries and treatment requirements.
Papia proudly works as a phlebotomist for the Department of Veterans Affairs, providing in-person medical care for our nation’s Veterans. Papia is very passionate and devoted to her position at the VA, exhibiting extreme compassion and empathy while providing crucial care to Veterans from all walks of life.
We have created this GoFundMe campaign to help raise funds for Papia’s medical expenses, including treatments, medications, and costs for specialist appointments. Your generous contributions will also help support the family's daily needs, ensuring that Papia can have stability and comfort during this challenging period.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant impact. If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing Papia’s story with your network and keeping her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
From the depths of our hearts, we thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. Papia is a fighter, and with your help, we believe she can overcome this battle. Together, we can provide Papia with the strength and resources she needs to defeat this cancer and continue being the amazing friend, sister, and daughter that she is.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Ashley & Jennifer
