Hola Familia,

This is a post 100% dedicated to helping Papi meet his unexpected medical costs. Some know him as Papi, Beto, "The most mysterious man in the world" lol, and Albert. Either way he is loved by so many and I'm reaching out to his community for any help!

Papi will be turning 69 this April and in the last two years he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's and is currently living in Ecuador, SA. One week ago, he was taken to the hospital for a cough and after several exams they were able to say he had Pneumonia and discovered a blood clot in his lung which also put him at high risk of a heart attack. He was in the hospital for a week and thankfully under medical supervision. Outside of this incident, he goes to physical therapy 3 days a week, has a caretaker that visits him regularly, and is on several required medications. There is only so much his insurance covers and this request is based on the remaining balance. I am actively working with social workers in the U.S. and Medicare to find a long-term and better solution for him now and in the future.

I am asking for help on his behalf because he's not a big social media guy and anything helps. I am very stressed but also planning to go visit him in the next month to give him the biggest hug ever, lay eyes on him, speak with his medical team and find a solution. He has a caring girlfriend who has been by his side and is also behind this post. She and I are brainstorming a comfortable and happy setting for him in the future.

This fundraiser will cover this most recent hospital visit, medications, and caretaker costs. I will be sending funds directly to hospital.

Papi and I are so grateful for your love and support now and over the years, he is always asking about people in his circle, in the community, and friends of mine growing up, etc. He loves you all so much and I can't wait to have him back in the states and organize a reunion for all of us to see each other again. He still reminisces and laughs when memories come back to him and as always, he just wants to have a good time <3
