Hi, my name is Caitlyn, and I’m raising funds for my grandfather—my Papa, Paul McCormick.

Papa has always been the rock of our family. He is married to the love of his life and helped raise me for the first seven years of my life. Even after retiring in 2016, he never stopped working—hauling tractors, building classic cars, and doing whatever it took to help others. He’s the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

This is his second battle with cancer. Four years ago, he was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer. He had part of his lung removed and went through oral chemo for a year, eventually becoming cancer-free. But last week, our world was turned upside down when scans showed the cancer is back in his lung, described like a “snowstorm” in the images—meaning it is now Stage 4 and cannot be cured.

Despite this, there are treatments that can extend his life and give us more precious time together. He needs immunotherapy infusions and chemo pills. Unfortunately, their grant for medical help was denied, and insurance won’t cover the cost. Out of pocket, it’s simply impossible for them to afford.

Papa and his wife are already struggling with constant medical bills. This treatment is our last hope to give him more time with the family who loves him so deeply. We’re asking for help to raise $10,000 to cover these treatments and related expenses.

Through all of this, Papa has shown incredible faith. He knows that God is ultimately in control, and he has peace in that. But we want to do everything we can to help him fight for more time with us.
