On July 12, 2019 my husband and I rushed to the hospital with horrible stomach pains and after the usual 2-3 hours in the E.R the doctor came to us asking if he had ever been told he had any types of growth on his kidney because they saw a large mass. It ended up being cancer. Renal cell carcinoma. That’s where it all began! I can remember leaving the E.R feeling this overwhelming sadness and feeling so scared thinking what will happen now? What are they going to do for him? Next step was transport to Banner MD Anderson in Gilbert for Kidney removal!. Jason had his right kidney removed and adrenal gland removed. They removed an 11 cm tumor. Since the surgery this past July he has underwent CT and MRI’s every three months faithfully He has been diagnosed now with Neuroendocrine Cancer, a rare genetic, slow growing cancer that is very hard to detect until its in the late stages. He is at stage 4 now. It has now metastasized (spread) to his other body parts. They found more tumor cells an several nodules in his liver and lower intestines and had to have his liver resection leaving a small amount of his liver left, thank goodness your liver grows back! He also had 6 inches of his lower intestines removed. That was no fun.Now its time for Chemotherapy and IV therapy which can only prolong life for him and some of his therapy will not be covered by our insuranceThis is the reason we have set up this GoFundMe campaign... we need your help..... DONATIONS and SHARES. No one wants to ask for help ever! Me especially ! But I feel completely helpless not being able to cover treatments our insurance won't cover!
