Help Papa get from Ukraine to Canada

Hi, My name is Mike McMahon, and I am fundraising to get my father-in-law to Canada. He escaped from Kyiv, Ukraine and is now in Warsaw, Poland. We are sponsoring him to come to Canada and are hoping to get him on a flight out of Warsaw, probably in about two weeks. He needs a plane ticket; he needs clothes (he left with nothing but his passport and the clothes on his back). He will need medical insurance for the first six months at least and many other things to get him started; this will cost a good chunk of money, so I have put together this Go Fund Me to try to raise $10,000.00 to help with the expenses.

My daughter is looking forward to seeing her dedushka. My wife is hoping to see her papa here safe and sound.

This is how we are hoping to use the money;

 

Health insurance in Canada for 6 months = $1,400.00

Groceries + Clothing = $4,900 ($150/week for groceries for 26 weeks = $3,900.00 & $1,000.00 for clothing)

Living expenses in Warsaw = $560.00

Flight = $2,500.00

Meals during trip to Canada = $30.00

Money to go to the people who have been assisting him in Warsaw = $200.00

Total = $9,590.00 -  With this amount, my father-in-law will be able to get to Canada and get a good start in the country. 

 

 

I rounded the number up to $10,000.00 because there are always unexpected expenses.
