Hello friends and kind-hearted strangers,

I’m reaching out to you on behalf of my father, Dave Breton, lovingly known to many as Papa Dave. At 74 years old, he has always been the rock of our family, but now he needs our help.

Recently, unprecedented rainfall combined with a nearby farm field decision not to plant this year led to severe groundwater runoff and catastrophic flooding. The flood overwhelmed Papa Dave’s property, requiring four pumps running continuously for six days just to make the basement accessible. He endured ten days without running water and still doesn't have hot water even a month later. This caused extensive damage to his home’s foundation and has ruined many of his household appliances.

Despite having home insurance, this type of damage is not being covered, leaving us to manage repairs. The cost to repair the damage and replace the lost appliances is estimated to exceed $20,000. This is an overwhelming amount, especially considering the fixed income my father lives on.

Papa Dave is a man who has always been there for family and others, and it’s our turn to be there for him. Your generous contributions will go directly towards:

- Repairing the damaged house foundation

- Replacing essential household appliances (Furnace, water heater, well and sump pump.)

- Restoring his home to a livable condition

- Prevention for future events
