Many believe that the best people we know encounter some really difficult situations and hardships in life. I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my husband’s family, who are too humble to ask for help, in hopes that we can relieve some of the financial burden off of our beloved, Papa Butch. He is the most selfless, hardworking man who is still working 40 hours a week at 83 years old. He is currently battling Stage 4 metastatic urothelial lung carcinoma and beginning chemotherapy treatment this week. Papa pays for 2 caregivers to come and stay at their home with his wife/our Gigi, Barbara, who has Alzheimer’s, while he works 5 days a week. Between the cost of treatment, traveling to and from doctors appointments, continuing care for Gigi, and missing work during treatments we want to help alleviate any financial stress that he may endure.
