I want to be fully transparent regarding the recent fundraising campaign to support a student in The Gambia.

After further verification, I discovered that the information initially shared about the student and his school was not accurate. I confirmed this directly with the school.

The student has since acknowledged that he provided false information due to a difficult personal situation.

Because the fundraising was based on incorrect information, I have decided that the right and responsible action is to return all donations.

I will be refunding everyone in full. If you donated and I have not contacted you yet, please send me a message so I can arrange your refund.

I sincerely apologize for this situation and take full responsibility for not verifying the information more thoroughly before sharing the campaign.

Quiero ser completamente transparente respecto a la reciente campaña de recaudación de fondos para apoyar a un estudiante en Gambia.

Tras realizar una verificación más profunda, descubrí que la información compartida inicialmente sobre el estudiante y su escuela no era correcta. Esto lo confirmé directamente con la escuela.

El estudiante ha reconocido posteriormente que proporcionó información falsa debido a una situación personal difícil.

Dado que la recaudación de fondos se basó en información incorrecta, he decidido que la acción correcta y responsable es devolver todas las donaciones.

Voy a proceder a reembolsar el importe completo a todas las personas que han donado. Si hiciste una donación y aún no me he puesto en contacto contigo, por favor envíame un mensaje para poder gestionar el reembolso.
