Help Paousman Camara Support His Family in Brikama, Gambia

Hello, My name is Noah B. Price, and I am starting this fundraiser for someone I consider far more than a friend.

His name is Paousman Camara, and for nearly three years now he and his family have been a part of my life.

Paousman lives in Brikama Western, Gambia, together with his mother Aja Mankata and his brothers Musa Camara and Mbemba Camara.

Their home consists of a cemented building in rough shape with with a tin roof that leaks when it rains, their resources are limited, and like many families in that region, they live in circumstances that most people in the developed world have never had to witness firsthand.

Over the past several years I have done everything I could personally to help support Paousman’s family and other families in the region through an initiative I built called The Ark Organization.

I began that work because I could not reconcile simply watching children struggle with hunger while having the ability to try to help.

Children are children, no matter where they are born.

In communities like Brikama Western, opportunities are extremely limited.

Jobs are scarce, transportation is difficult to obtain, and many families live day to day with uncertainty about whether they will have enough food or income to meet basic needs.

Yet in the middle of these hardships stands a young man whose character and faith have never wavered.

Paousman is a Christian man who deeply believes in God and in serving others.

His faith is not something he speaks about casually. It is something he lives.

Even when circumstances are difficult, he remains hopeful, prayerful, and determined to build a better future not only for his family, but for the people around him in his village.

Scripture reminds us:

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
- Galatians 6:2

That is precisely what Paousman has tried to do for others despite having so little himself.

One of the things that makes Paousman unique is that he speaks semi-fluent English, which is uncommon in many rural areas of Gambia.

His goal is humble but powerful.

Paousman hopes to purchase a motorbike with a rear carriage, a tool that would allow him to work transporting goods and assisting with deliveries between villages.

In many parts of West Africa this type of vehicle becomes the backbone of small local businesses.

With it, Paousman would be able to earn income, support his mother and brothers, and provide services to families throughout the area.

For many of us, a motorbike may not seem like a life changing investment.

But for Paousman, it would open the door to sustainable work and dignity.

It would mean the ability to earn money consistently.

It would mean helping provide food and stability for his family.

It would mean serving his community in a meaningful way.

Scripture teaches us something very clear about our responsibility toward one another:

“If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled, without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?”
- James 2:15-16

Faith is not meant to remain abstract. It is meant to be lived through compassion and action.

For nearly three years I have done everything I personally could to help Paousman and his family.

But there are moments when one person’s efforts are not enough, and that is why I am reaching out today.

If people come together to help provide this opportunity, the impact will extend far beyond one household.

Paousman’s ability to work and earn will help support his family and allow him to assist other families in his community who face similar struggles.

Your support will help provide:

A motorbike with a transport carriage
Basic startup costs for delivery work
Immediate support for food and essential needs for the family

Every donation, no matter the amount, contributes toward giving this young man the opportunity he has been praying and working toward.

And if you choose to help, Paousman and his family would be honored to send personal thank you videos and updates, so that you can see the difference your support is making in real time.

Scripture reminds us of something simple and powerful:

“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed.” - Proverbs 19:17

If this story moves you, please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser.

Together we can help provide not only immediate relief for a family in need, but also the tools that allow them to stand on their own feet and build a better future.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for caring.
