Help Pandi Fix Her Teeth to Play Trumpet Again
Hi, my name is Andrea, Pandi for short. When I was a kid, I sustained an injury to my front tooth that had broken it. The dentist who treated the injury capped the tooth without doing a root canal, leaving the tooth susceptible to infections. For years, I had sharp pain, but I thought it was normal. As a young adult many years ago, I found myself in my first domestic relationship, an abusive situation, where I had been hit in the mouth repeatedly. The tooth didn't fall out, so I thought it was fine. Skip ahead a few more years to when I was playing trumpet regularly... the pain in my tooth got worse and worse. I gave in and went to the dentist and found out I had an infection not only in that tooth, but the surrounding teeth and my sinus, as well as a large cyst that had to be removed. The surgery was done in two steps, and they did fairly well. It's been several years since then.
I went to the dentist yesterday, thinking I would be there for a cleaning and routine procedures. They informed me that the surgeries failed, and they're not sure how the now two teeth are still in place... my front tooth and the one next to it. I will have to have them extracted, and to have a bridge put in place.
UPDATE: They had to extract six front teeth, so I'll need a denture once the initial healing stage happens, and then I have to try to raise enough for an implant denture or implants. I won't be able to play with just the denture. There is no option for loans, credit cards, etc. I've exhausted every option I have down to asking for help.
The thing is that I haven't been able to play trumpet over the last few years hardly at all. I've had multiple abdominal surgeries, including a radical hysterectomy that was done in different parts. I also have neurological disease that effects my ability to even function as a normal human being. The list goes on. So, if you can help, I would be eternally grateful.
