On January 12, A devastating fire severely damaged one of Alpine’s most loved local restaurants, Panda Machi. A place that has brought our community together for years through great food, and genuine hospitality.

The owners and staff have poured their hearts into serving Alpine with kindness, consistency, and delicious food, and in return, they’ve earned the love and loyalty of the entire community.

Tragically, the fire has made the restaurant unsafe to operate, and the damage means they must rebuild before they can reopen their doors. During this time, the owners and staff are facing overwhelming costs — from repairs and equipment replacement to lost income — all while trying to stay hopeful and strong.

As a small, family-owned business, recovering from a tragedy like this is overwhelming. While insurance and cleanup help, they only go so far. The road ahead will be long and expensive.
