Last September, we adopted Pancake and her brother, Biscuit, after they were found near a torn-down diner. They are inseparable and bring us joy every day. Pancake is our sweet girl and truly a member of our family. Recently, she went through a frightening medical emergency that turned our world upside down. It started when her mood changed completely—she became very sick and lethargic, and we knew something was seriously wrong. For ten days, we tried everything to help her, but nothing seemed to work. Eventually, we had to rush her to an emergency veterinary hospital, where they discovered she had eaten something she shouldn’t have and needed surgery right away.

The surgery was a success, and Pancake has made a full recovery. We’re incredibly grateful to have her back to her playful, loving self. However, the cost of her care has been overwhelming. We’ve paid a large amount out of pocket ($4,400), but we still have a significant balance left to repay for her treatment. Covering these bills has been a huge strain on our finances, but we would do anything for Pancake. She means the world to us, and we’re asking for help to cover the remaining costs of her emergency care.
