My aunt Pamela Conklin is one of the kindest, hardest-working people I know. She has always done right by everyone — family, friends, and coworkers alike. Recently, she made the brave decision to move to New York to build a better life and pursue new opportunities.

But everything took a heartbreaking turn. The company she worked for — a foreign, shady employer — stole her last paycheck and left her not only without the money she earned but also in the negative, wiping out the funds she had saved to make this move possible.
