Hello friends and family,
The past seven months have been an incredibly rough journey for our mom, Pam Olson, who turned 70 this year. It began with a fall on the ice while walking her dog, which left her arm broken in several places. Less than a week later, she also lost her beloved dog, Peanut. Soon after, her liver began to fail, and following a stent placement and biopsy, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just seven weeks ago.
She quickly underwent the Whipple surgery and has been recovering for the last six weeks. Sadly, the cancer had already spread to her lymph nodes. Now, she faces six months of chemotherapy every other week. She has already lost 30 pounds since her hospital stay and is struggling to walk.
This year has forced her out of work for long stretches—first because of her broken arm, then her liver issues, and now cancer. On top of everything, her tenant moved out of the other side of her duplex, so she has lost all streams of income in a very expensive and scary time in her life.
While she receives Social Security and Medicare, it isn’t nearly enough to cover all of the medical and household expenses that are piling up.
As her daughters and son-in-law, we are doing all we can—helping with groceries, prescriptions, bills, transportation, and naturopathic care. We’re also seeking healing from every direction: conventional medicine, natural treatments, and most importantly, prayer.
We are asking for your support and prayers. Any donation would help relieve her financial stress so she can focus fully on healing. And above all, we ask you to join us in praying for strength, minimal side effects during chemo, and complete healing in Jesus’ name.
Your love, prayers, and encouragement have already carried us through these past months, and we are so deeply grateful. Thank you for standing with our mom during this fight.
With love,
Ginnie & Jamie
