My name is Pam, and I’m reaching out during a very challenging time for both me and my dog, Junior. After a period of homelessness and unemployment, I’ve just secured a new job as a Public Works Inspector in the Bay Area. This opportunity is a lifeline for us, but I’m facing a critical gap before my first paycheck arrives. Without immediate help, I won’t be able to afford public transportation to get to work, daily meals, or a safe place for us to stay. Shelter beds are full, and cheap motels are our only option right now, but even those are hard to afford. Every day is a struggle to find food, especially for Junior, and I worry constantly about our safety until we can get settled.

Junior has been my loyal companion for years. I took him in after his previous owner passed away, and he’s been my support dog ever since. He’s now completely blind in his right eye and is still adjusting to his new way of life.
