Help Pam Heal from a Knee Replacement and more than 40 Appts
Donation protected
Hello. I am Pam's brother, James Williams. I am starting a GoFundMe for my sister.
If you know Pam, then you know how much she gives of herself to her family, friends, neighbors, work and students - all of herself and then some! I am coming to you to ask if you could kindly send some love her way. She is dealing with recovering from a knee replacement that has had complication after complication - so much so that she has run out of her 12 weeks of allowed FMLA leave and is now on temporary disability leave and in a financial bind. She is hoping to return to work soon. In the meantime, I am personally reaching out to ask you to please consider giving what you can to help support her in her time of need.
Here is a recent timeline of her events:
- August 16 - Knee replacement
- September 19 - Saw infection on knee
- September 20 - Emergency surgery /Diagnosis staph infection
- September 20 - 5 day hospital stay
- September 20 - Started 24/7 - Wound vac & picc line (iv antibiotics)
- September 25 - ER visit #1: pump filled with blood
- September 29 -ER visit #2: blood clot detected

- Has had a total of 40+ medical appointments and counting (CT, MRI, , sonogram, EKG, cardiogram, lab work, outpatient and inpatient physical therapy, home healthcare nurse visits, and more)
Additionally she has started TDL (Temporary Disability Leave). Retroactive to Aug. 16th. 180 days total. In September she received 67% of her monthly salary, October 62%of salary and in November only 38% of her salary. December salary will be even lower.
If you are in the position to help support her, no matter the amount, we would greatly appreciate it. Either way, please send her a message of support and please keep her recovery in your thoughts and prayers. Please feel free to share this GofundMe with anyone!
Thanks for your time.... Love you Sis!! :O)
