On Monday, January 29th,
Pam Rockwood, fiercely loyal wife, sister, daughter, aunt and friend whom has dedicated her life to caring for others as an emergency room RN was diagnosed with endometriod uterine cancer.
I am starting this fundraiser to assist with the cost of treatment beginning with a total hysterectomy (after which they will grade and stage the cancer) and any post operative care such as chemotherapy etc. if needed.
Regardless of aftercare, Pam will need to take off up to 8 weeks from work. We appreciate your help so all of our focus can be on Pam and her recovery.

she's spent her life working as a nurse in some of the busiest ERs in Chicago. She has seen it ALL and has every reason to be bitter and cynical, but nope! Pam smiles like this at every person she meets. There are no strangers in Pam's world. I've seen her strike up conversations on sidewalks, in restaurants, in the middle of the ocean, and at many, many cash registers. She's a caretaker at the very center of her being. She wants to feed the entire world (her food is divine!) with her actual hands. She is the best listener, and she validates and affirms and loves and lifts the people around her. She has the most sparkly eyes, and she is a sexy beach mermaid. In short, Pam is a gift to humanity, and none of us deserve her. (Thanks for this Anna)
