Thank you for visiting my mom's page. My mom, Pam, was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer in June. She means so much to me, my father, and younger sister Ashley. We are trying to make sure the only thing she has to focus on is staying positive and winning her fight against cancer.

My mom recently had a single mastectomy.  After the surgery we discovered the cancer was much more serious than the doctors had originally anticipated and had spread to her lymphnodes. She now faces 6 months of chemotherapy followed by 2 months of radiation and potentially further surgery. 

I never knew what it would feel like to hear that my mother has cancer. My mom has alway been so strong for her family and now it's our turn to be strong for her. What hurts me the most is watching her stress about her finances when she should be able to focus all her energy on fighting this battle.

My parents are currently living in a hotel on the east coast of Florida. They have family on the west coast; however, her doctors are on the east coast and because of the frequency of her chemotherapy and the urgency of her treatment she's unable to move the location of her treatment to be with family.

We are in the process of getting my mom approved for any government/charity funds that are availalbe to her, but we are learning that one cannot survive on these sources of minimal income. Our main goal is to try to keep her quality of life consistent during this hard time by creating a support network to help her keep positive and raising funds to ease her financial stress.
