Help Pam and Jim During This Difficult Time

Donation protected
My name is Cindy King. My great friend and coworker, Pam Pearson, needs our help with prayer and medical/living expenses. She has had a very rough summer and is currently in the hospital on FMLA and is unable to work. She will soon be moved to rehab.

Pam is an amazing person! She and her husband, Jim, have literally laid down their lives to help people in need with food, housing, clothing, etc. Now is our chance to give back and help this amazing selfless couple.

In Pam's own words...

"On July 26th, I was told that I had cancer in my eye. The cancer is wrapped around the ocular nerve, which transmits what you see to your brain. I had two treatment options to choose from and chose to have Proton Therapy. Both options burn the optic nerve. This is the only way of getting rid of the cancer in my eye. So, I will end up not being able to see in my left eye, but of course, I believe Jesus heals the blind.

In late August, without warning, I had a gall bladder attack. In reviewing the scans of my abdomen, the doctor saw that my intestine was in danger of twisting. There were two holes in my intestine, and my colon was sticking out through them. So, they had to do surgery right away and inserted wire mesh in there. I began my recovery.

My next surgery was September 18, 2024, to insert titanium clips in the cancer eye in preparation for the Proton Therapy treatment.

During this time, I couldn't eat anything without having severe pain. It was the kind of pain that doubles a person over. On September 24, just six days after the eye surgery, my gall bladder was removed. The peace Jesus gave me prevailed, and He performed a miracle when I woke up from the surgery. I had two nurses ready to help me get to the restroom, and I found I had ZERO pain! They couldn't believe it! I think it's because I had been witnessing to one of the nurses who listens to Andrew Wommack, and we had two people praying in agreement together.

The next appointment I experienced was going to the Proton Center to be measured for Proton Therapy, which is a radiation that will kill the cancer in my eye. Throughout all of these challenges, I have been pretty tired and moving rather slowly at home. Last Sunday, September 29, I seemed to turn a corner and began feeling much better.

On October 3rd, I missed a step coming down our stairway and fell. I now have a compressed L1 vertebra. I am looking at several months of recovery. I am not sure what the Proton Center will do about my eye treatment now since my measurements have changed. Sigh.

I have been working as much as I could through all of these appointments and have used up all of my vacation pay. I am a remote worker, living in Illinois, and am therefore not eligible for Colorado FMLA pay.

I treasure my friendships, both old and new. Thank you for considering helping me."
Blessings,
Pam Pearson

I would like to add that Jim is also having some health issues of his own and is limited in his ability to work his part-time job due to taking care of Pam and driving her to her doctor's appointments. Please keep him in your prayers as well.

Thank you for your help!
