My sister Sara adopted Paloma from the Orange County Animal Shelter just before Christmas, hoping to give her a second chance at life. Paloma had been found tied to a stop sign in Oak Ridge, underweight, abused, infested with worms, dehydrated, wounds on her ears, and terrified of people. Despite her rough start, Paloma quickly became a beloved member of Sara’s family, showing resilience and a gentle spirit.
Just one week after coming home, Paloma spiked a dangerously high fever and had to be rushed to the hospital. She spent days receiving emergency care, including antibiotics, IV fluids, and extensive testing. The vet bills have become overwhelming, and Sara is struggling to keep up with the costs while making sure Paloma gets the care she needs.
We’re reaching out for help because Paloma is only 3 years old and deserves a long, happy life with her new family. Your support would mean everything to Sara and Paloma, helping to cover the costs of her hospitalization and ongoing treatment. Together, we can show Paloma that not all people are bad and give her the future she truly deserves.
