Hi Family and Friends!
It’s with genuine urgency that I am posting this message on behalf of my son Palmer Jordon. Approximately 12 weeks ago, he was fired from his job and brutally assaulted at his place of work in North Hollywood, CA. He was working as a nightclub light technician; the incident resulted from a misunderstanding due to identity theft and internet slander.
Additionally, while trying to get home in a state of trauma, his electronic equipment was stolen on the street. The trauma of these incidents were unmanageable for him and he was soon evicted from his apartment. He suffered numerous repeated repeated thefts of personal items, such as identification cards, as well as further phone and laptop thefts. Following these incidents, he lived on the streets of North Hollywood, getting by on his savings while desperately managing to stay safe, trying to recover from these incidents and determine next steps. He suffered greatly from the devastation of losing the career advances that he had built through almost a decade of sheer persistence, hard work, and tolerance in the hiphop industry centered in North Hollywood, and did everything he could to try to gain back a foothold.
He arrived back home in Vermont yesterday after almost three months of life-threatening ordeals and with all of his savings and electronic equipment completely gone. We are all very relieved that he is now safe from harm and able to recover more completely.
Any donation would mean the world, as this will help him to access housing closer to Burlington, in a more appropriate location for his line of work - Palmer is a highly talented and skilled hiphop dancer and choreographer, videographer, music producer, and nightclub light technician. Any opportunity ideas, suggestions, or networking in these fields would also be very helpful.
Additionally, feel free to designate your monetary assistance as a loan, as he wants to specify “I just got done with the most dangerous involuntary vacation of my entire life.” All he wants to do now is get back to work, and share his immense skill and passions with the community he is now returning to in Vermont.
With utmost gratitude,
Emily Lanxner
