Help Palestinian Artist Mohammed Harb, Rebuild Home & Studio

My name is Mohamed Abdelkarim. I live in Rotterdam, and I am raising funds to help my dear friend, Mohamed Harb, and his family rebuild their home and studio, both of which were destroyed by war. Allow me to share a message from Mohamed Harb and his family:

"My name is Mohamed Harb, and I am an artist based in Gaza. I write to you with a heavy heart as my family and I face the devastating post-war reality in our homeland. As a father of a young son and three daughters, the destruction of our home and studio has left us in an unimaginable situation where we are still living in tents.

Displacement was never a choice we considered, but as the war intensified, the escalating threats left us with no option but to seek refuge elsewhere. When we finally returned to northern Gaza, we found our home and studio completely reduced to rubble. Our neighborhood, Al-Remal, once full of life, now lies in ruins. The studio, where I spent countless hours creating art and fostering a community of artists, is gone. Today, my family and I remain displaced, living under the harsh conditions of tent shelters. We yearn for the stability of a home where we can start to rebuild our lives. Our modest house, once adorned with artwork dating back to the 1990s, was more than just a living space, it was a sanctuary for artistic expression, a place of creativity, an archive of our history, and a testimony to years of work that are now lost.

Our lives have been shattered, but I refuse to lose hope. With your support, we can restore some dignity to my family, giving them the safety and stability they deserve. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to rebuilding our home and studio and reclaiming a future that now seems so distant.

With a heavy heart, I appeal for your generosity to help us raise €40,000, the amount needed to reconstruct our home and studio and bring life back to my family in Gaza.
