Hi everyone! My name is Paisley Crocker, and I’m honored to have been chosen to represent the Gamma Iota Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in the upcoming Miss Black & Gold Pageant here at Hampton University.

This journey is about more than a crown it’s about creating visibility, breaking barriers, and empowering the next generation to dream higher.

My platform, “From Unseen to Unstoppable,” is built around my passion for aviation and representation. As a young Black woman pursuing a career as a pilot, I’ve learned firsthand that visibility can change everything. With less than 1% of U.S. pilots being Black women, I’m committed to showing young people especially those who look like me that the sky is not the limit, it’s just the beginning.

Through my platform, I’ve dedicated my time to serving and uplifting my community in multiple ways, organizing and volunteering at the Bullock Food Pantry in Delaware, the Food Bank of Delaware, and the Virginia Peninsula Food Bank, ensuring families have access to essential resources. I’ve also proudly volunteered at Women Who Fly Virginia, where we introduced girls ages 8–18 to aviation and gave them the chance to take their very first flight. These experiences have deepened my commitment to visibility, service, and empowerment.

I’m raising funds to help cover the costs of:

• Pageant attire (formal wear, talent outfit, and interview attire)

• Props for my talent performance

(Small stage visuals that bring my “From Unseen to Unstoppable” story to life)

• Preparation expenses

• Materials to promote my platform and community outreach projects
