Hello!

We’re Lisa Warner and Liz Wray, collectively known as Painted Knees. We are a couple of fusion belly dancers from Indianapolis, Indiana, with a combined total experience of 40 years, who have been performing together and individually all over the US. Our dream has been to be able to put on a production of theatrical belly dance (much like a ballet, but belly dance), and that dream is coming to fruition with our acceptance into the IndyFringe Festival with shows on August 16, 17, and 18! We are so excited!

About the show - It’s called “Fae” and features over a dozen of the best performers this side of the Mississippi! “Fae” is about an uninspired Artist who is given the gift of inspiration from a Fairy, which gives them fame and fortune. But can there ever be enough fame and fortune to satisfy the Artist’s aspirations?

Now, Friends, if you have read this far, THIS is where we need YOU. We need assistance financially to acquire and make costumes, props, scenery, with enough left over to pay our performing Artists. Ideally, our goal is $3,000 to cover those expenses, and we’d be ever so grateful for your help!
