Help Paige: House Fire & Husband Suicide

 

The day after Christmas, Paige, a loving mother of three and a close friend to many, experienced a nightmare from the darkest corner of our dreams.

She lost her house to a devastating fire and all her and her family’s possessions within.  She lost her husband of 16 years, who was fighting demons of his own, taking his own life; but not before burning down the family home and their detached garage/workshop the same day. She doesn’t have the financial means to recover all that went up in flames.

Paige has always been a self-sufficient individual, but has never faced this extreme of circumstances. 

She hates the idea of asking for help, but we understand the necessity of her needs. She’s always given to others unconditionally and never asked for anything in return.  Paige had to be convinced into allowing us to open a GoFundMe campaign. 

 

 

 

Details of her nightmare aren’t for the light of heart.

Lost in the blaze were all the family heirlooms, furnishings, cloths, pictures, collectables, tools, a 69’ VW Transporter Bus, a Dodge Ram 1500, and other priceless items.  Thankfully Paige and her son, Ian, who were living at the home survived physically unscathed.  Family and Friends rallied around her to salvage what little they could. The house was completely destroyed and will have to be bulldozed and paid to haul away.

Going forward, one of Paige’s greatest questions remaining and still unclear is if insurance will cover some or any of the loss. 

Somehow she has to find a place to live, money to cover necessary expenses, and start rebuilding her life.  Not to mention the cost of the funeral.

Our friend Paige has nowhere to turn except to us, her family and friends.  She has to be strong for her children Corey, Ian, and Megan.  Anything any of us can spare will help her and her family get back on their feet.  She needs our help more than ever.
