Hi, I'm Paige DeCaro — a 2025 New Jersey State Finalist and the statewide leader in pins this past season. I’m honored to have recently committed to continuing my wrestling journey at Lehigh University, a program known for excellence at the NCAA level and where the women’s program just announced their transition to D1. Before I step onto the collegiate stage, I have one more goal to acheive: competing at the Fargo National Championships, one of the most prestigious high school wrestling tournaments in the country.
Fargo is the ultimate proving ground for wrestlers at my level — it brings together the most elite athletes from across the nation. Representing Team New Jersey is my chance to challenge myself against the country’s best, push my limits, and sharpen my skills in preparation for the demands of Division I competition.
Wrestling has been the backbone of my high school experience. I’ve captained my team, broken multiple school records for pins and points, and earned national recognition as a Nuway Summer Nationals All-American. I will also be wrestling in Indiana as part of the New Jersey Dual Team. I have been wrestling for Newton High School for three years and I started as a sophomore. Since then I have grown exponentially with my commitment to Cordoba Trained wrestling club aiding to my sucess. I owe a huge thank you to all of my coaches and for helping me achieve my goals.
My commitment to excellence doesn't stop on the mat. In the classroom, I’ve maintained a GPA of 4.566, scored a 1440 on the SAT, and ranked sixth in my class. I’ve been honored with the Princeton Book Award, named a Marine Corps Scholar All-American twice, and selected for leadership programs such as the Hugh O’Brien Youth Conference and the Lindsey Meyer Teen Institute. Whether it’s founding the KRHS Green Team’s environmental initiative, serving over 350 hours as a youth counselor promoting mental health, or being named Miss Stillwater to represent my town, I strive to lead with purpose and integrity in everything I do. When I am not training, I work 40 hours a week at my local state park as the sergeant lifeguard, providing a safe community environment.
Competing at Fargo comes with significant costs — travel to North Dakota, tournament fees, training camps, coaching, gear, and nutrition — and that’s where your support makes a real difference. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to this opportunity. It helps ease the financial burden on me and my family while allowing me to focus on training, recovery, and competing at my very best.
Thank you for believing in me. I’m beyond grateful for your generosity, encouragement, and support. Whether you choose to donate or simply share this campaign with others, you’re helping fuel my dream — and I can’t wait to make you proud in Fargo.
