Ya’at’éeh shike’ doo shidine’. My name is Paige Belinte. I’m a Diné educator from the ChiChiłtah area. Im creating this gofundme, for my family who recently lost all of their sheep. Some of our neighbors dogs who are not well taken care of, got into our sheep corral & killed all 16 of our sheep. It has been a traumatic experience for my family, as many of the sheep were some that were gifted via ceremony from various relatives for myself, my little brother and my aunt. Others were also some that my late grandmother left us. More than anything, we just want to get some more for my aunt who had dedicated much of her life to take care of her mother’s livestock. Anything helps to bring back that care we lost due to this tragic event. Unfortunately, the authorities have not been helpful, as this has been an issue prior as well. I appreciate your support and any help you can provide even if it’s giving some words of comfort.
