Hi, I'm Page. I'm a 21-year-old Transfem from the Uk.

 

It's extremely difficult for Trans people in the UK to transition; with the system the way it is it's unlikely I'd ever be able to transition medically. This situation is not helped by my family's complete rejection of me as a trans person and their continuous transphobia towards me. My current dysphoria makes it difficult for me to live as I'd like to and is a constant strain on me mentally and emotionally.

 

Due to these circumstances, I've chosen to attempt to transition through private healthcare, but this can be very expensive. I would be able to have consistent access to Hormone Replacement Therapy, allowing me to begin to properly medically transition. I also hope to one day be able to get Facial Feminisation Surgery which I believe will significantly help my dysphoria and improve my life immeasurably. 

Unfortunately, FFS surgery can cost anywhere from £10k-£30k, and I would never be able to raise that money alone. My dysphoria has gotten increasingly worse over time, and with the way the UK and my family are, I feel no hope that it will ever get better. I would never normally ask for help like this, but I feel this is necessary for me to achieve happiness.
