Have you met the Ambassador of Grand Bahama? She is Paddy Wildgoose. She isn't a real Ambassador but she has welcomed so many visitors to the Island as a Union Cab driver we made her an honorary Ambassador. Once you meet her she gets in step with you to provide all transportation needs during your visit. Paddy is a proud Bahamian and loves her country too. We have known Paddy over 25 years and she is family. Paddy was recently declared legally blind leaving her homebound. Cataract surgery is planned for both eyes and she needs the surgery now. Grand Bahama doesn't offer any social services support for this. We want to help her get started this month. Cataract replacement costs approximately $7.300 each eye. That's a lot but there isn't any lower pricing in the Bahamas. We're asking for your assistance. Paddy is in the last quarter of her life. She needs to be able to see all her family and friends again. Paddy was a strong local small business leader and a one man band Welcome Wagon putting smiles on the tourists faces.
