Help Pachi experience his first Xmas seizure free

Some of you may know Pachi from Love and Second Chances, others from our Instagram page @_sunnypachkids, and others from Denis and I’s social media. If you have followed along with Pachi’s journey, you would know what joy, happiness and endless laughter he brings to our little family! We adopted him on my birthday - the same night California went into shelter in place and he’s been the brightest light of 2020.

He was born as a part of an accidental litter and Love and Second Chances took him under their wings long enough for us to find him and be his forever home. In addition to the documentary worthy obstacles he faced in his childhood, Pachi was also born blind, and to our knowledge, his eyes never fully developed. But if you have ever met him or watched his videos, you know he doesn’t let a simple lack of sight deter him from living his best life. He jumps onto couches and beds, climbs stairs, frolics in the flowers at the park, and is best friends with our two year old goldendoodle Sunny.

Pachi recently turned 1 and we were so excited to spend our first Christmas with our newest member ... but these last few weeks, Pachi began to have seizures in the middle of the night - on average about 2 a week. We went to our local vet and Pachi’s blood work came back normal ruling out possible metabolic causes and toxicities. The next step is an MRI and/or spinal tap in addition various other imaging procedures needed for ongoing medical work up.

Given the significant financial costs for these procedures, we are hoping any planned gifts given to Denis, Pachi, Sunny or I this holiday season be made as a donation to Pachi’s medical expenses to get us a step closer to finding a cause/diagnosis that are causing these seizures. All these procedures have estimated to be $5000+. All donations will go to Pachi’s medical expenses and procedures.

If you simply just read this, smiled at his cover photo, or donated big, small or nothing at all, we are incredibly grateful that Pachi is surrounded by such an amazing community who celebrates his uniqueness and have given us endless support as new parents to a pup with special needs. Thank you to everyone and happy holidays ♥️
