Save Pachamama Sanctuary: A Healing Space for Veterans, Survivors, and Seekers

Pachamama Sanctuary is a rare and vital place where true healing happens. Thousands of people — veterans overcoming PTSD, survivors of deep trauma, and those simply seeking to become better, more whole human beings — have found lasting transformation here, myself included. As a veteran with chronic PTSD, I can personally attest to the life-changing work being done at this sanctuary.

This is not a church, a cult, or a “hippie retreat.” It is a sanctuary of real, grounded healing, where traditional medicines like Kambo, Sananga, Hapé (also known as Rapé), and Ayahuasca are used with great care, respect, and deep wisdom. These powerful plant-based medicines support the body’s natural detoxification process, helping people release physical, emotional, and spiritual blockages in a safe and nurturing environment. Most of the medicines, including Hapé, Ayahuasca, and Sananga, are offered as part of the healing experience with no extra charge. Only Kambo carries a fee, due to the sacred and delicate nature of sourcing: the medicine must be collected ethically from wild indigenous frogs in the jungles of Peru — frogs that cannot be farmed or raised in captivity without losing the potency of their gift.

Derek has especially dedicated his efforts to helping veterans, offering support for those with PTSD and trauma, providing them with the tools to heal and reclaim their lives.

To prepare for these transformative ceremonies, participants are asked to follow a plant-based, vegan diet for at least two weeks beforehand. During this time, they eliminate salt, pepper, sugar, caffeine, red meat, fast food, and cannabis. This cleansing process allows the body to detoxify and fully receive the healing benefits of the medicines. It’s a commitment — but one that opens the door to profound, lasting change.

Pachamama Sanctuary has become a trusted place of healing for people across the country, with individuals traveling from all over the United States to experience the powerful transformations made possible here.

Now, the Sanctuary is facing serious financial challenges that threaten its ability to continue serving the community. Without immediate support, this safe and sacred place may be forced to close its doors. Derek is not someone who would easily ask for help, but the truth is, the community he nurtured — and so many people who still need healing — depend on him, and on Pachamama.

To secure the future of Pachamama Sanctuary, we need to raise a minimum of $800,000. Every donation — no matter the size — brings us closer to saving this sacred space and ensuring it remains a beacon of healing for all who seek it.

If Pachamama Sanctuary has touched your life, or if you believe in the power of healing and human transformation, please consider contributing. You are not just helping to save a building — you are helping to save a place where lives are rebuilt, spirits are renewed, and hope is restored.

Help us Save Pachamama Sanctuary — and keep this light shining for generations to come.
