Help Send Haub Law Students to the Peru Environmental Moot Court Semifinals ⚖️
We are a team of law students from the Latin American Law Students Association (LALSA) at Haub Law, and we are seeking support to attend the semifinals of the Peru Environmental Moot Court (Moot de Derecho Ambiental Científica), an international, all–Spanish-language competition focused on glacier retreat, rural communities, Indigenous rights, and state accountability for unlawful environmental practices by foreign corporations.
Out of 21 international institutions and 39 teams, our team proudly placed 3rd for our written memorial and 5th overall in oral advocacy, earning a spot in the semifinals at Peru’s Constitutional Tribunal in Lima on December 17–18. This marks a historic opportunity to represent Haub Law and the United States on a global stage where environmental justice and Latin American jurisprudence take center stage.
To make this possible, we must raise $7,000 to send our team to Lima. These funds will cover essential travel costs, including airfare, lodging, transportation, and meals. Our team has dedicated over 180 hours this semester alone, plus countless additional hours outside the classroom, to rigorous legal research, writing, and advocacy preparation. We have poured our time, passion, and voices into this work, and we now ask for your help to carry it forward.
Your contribution, whether large or small, directly supports Latino law students, international advocacy, and the representation of Haub Law in a global environmental forum. Every donation brings us one step closer to attending the semifinals and ensuring that our hard work is not limited by financial barriers.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign or connecting us with potential sponsors, firms, or alumni supporters would mean just as much.
Thank you for helping us turn this opportunity into reality and for standing with us as we advocate for environmental justice on a global stage.
