Pabu is a sweet, gentle, loving greyhound who has brought joy to me, his owner Laura, for the past five years. Pabu isn't just a pet to me, he's my comfort through life's ups and downs and he means the world to me. Right now Pabu needs help and I can't afford to help him on my own.

The Problem:

Recently Pabu began showing signs of distress; limping, crying out in pain and today he took a turn for the worse, losing mobility in his hind legs. After numerous tests and visits the diagnosis broke my heart. Pabu has a severe spinal issue that's leaving him in constant pain and making everyday movements incredibly difficult.

The good news is that spinal surgery could give Pabu a chance at a pain free, active and normal life again. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is far beyond my ability to pay.

Why Pabu needs help:

I have always done everything I can to care for Pabu; providing him with unconditional love, safety and lots cuddles. But the cost of surgery, including post operation care and rehabilitation, totals over $20,000, a sum I just cannot afford. I've already spent my savings on running diagnostic tests but the only real hope for Pabu's future is surgery. Pabu deserves a chance to run again and enjoy his zoomies in the yard. I can't do this without your help. All funds raised will go towards his medical needs:

Any and every donation helps and means the world to me. I love Pabu more than anything in the world, and I need to give him the help he needs. The alternatives are not great, he could have medical maintenance (which he is not a great candidate for) or there is euthanasia. These are the three options provided to me by the surgeon. I cannot lose my boy, he is the love of my life. Please help me raise funds to assist in covering his medical bills. This boy is my absolute sunshine, please help me to give him a longer life.
