On Thursday, August 25th, my 82-year-old grandfather Pablo Ochoa was found lying face down and unconscious in front of his home in Cainta, Philippines. It was determined that he suffered a stroke which ultimately caused him to fall over outside and hit his head on the ground, resulting in bleeding.

Since then, my grandfather has been in the ICU, unresponsive, with half his body paralyzed. For a while, he seemed to be recovering, but his condition worsened, and he had to be fitted with a breathing apparatus for him to breathe easier. His continued stay at the hospital and ongoing treatment has placed a great deal of financial stress on our family, to the point where my grandmother had to use the funds she had saved for her current cancer treatment to pay for his medical bills.

Our family is doing our best to handle everything, but any help would be greatly appreciated – a little goes a long way. Any amount would genuinely help out our family. Any funds raised will be sent directly to our family in the Philippines to help pay for his medical bills.
