Pablo Josue, my nephew, is a bright and active child who loves playing baseball.
Recently, while he was waiting on third base during a game, a batted ball struck him in the face. The impact was so severe that he was rushed to the hospital and then transferred to a larger facility for specialized care. Doctors discovered that his nose was broken and, tragically, the damage to his eye was too extensive to save it. To protect his remaining vision, they had to remove his injured eye.
Pablo Josue is still in the hospital and is expected to stay for more than a month as he recovers from surgery and begins the process of healing. The road ahead will be challenging, with many medical expenses, including the cost of a prosthetic eye and ongoing rehabilitation. Our family is doing everything we can to support him, but the financial burden is overwhelming.
