my uncle Pablo Cardona is currently caring for 60 dogs. Animal control has required him to spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinate all dogs.

he is currently taken care of these requirements for 7 dogs. But he is financially unable to self fund the requirements from animal control for all 60 dogs. he is located in La mesa, NM. Dona Ana county. He currently uses most of his retirement money to feed the dogs and whatever is needed along the way.

most of these dogs were stray dogs.. they are not trained some of these dogs are somewhat wild and even aggressive.

we know if animal control takes them away, they will more than likely be put down.

he is struggling with depression since years ago for personal reasons and caring for all these dogs has kept him busy and found a way to feel some fulfillment from helping them as well.

he has a small period of time to meet the requirements. Otherwise he will face legal charges for “animal cruelty “

once all the dogs are fixed to meet their requests, the small dogs will be put for adoption as animal control will not let him keep these many dogs. He was told a special permit would allow him to keep 15.

some stray female dogs were picked up already pregnant, each one had about 7 puppies.
