Help Ozzy with Medical bills and recovery

Ozzy is a 4 year old Shar-Pei, a very active, energetic boy who after a catastrophic incident of events needs help with medical bills and future help possibly with adaptations needed.

Ozzy was in the car on a journey that he take’s regularly, he was in his harness and with his safety seat belt clip secured.

Whilst on the journey he somehow manage to unclip the belt, then he stood on the door button,releasing the electric window and jumped out of the moving car at 25-30mph.

From what we were told by witnesses he jumped out, rolled on the floor a few times and then got heavily stopped by some safety railings near a crossing.

He screamed out in pain instantly and was rushed to the vets straight away.

His injuries initially consisted of superficial wounds to his face and legs and being very wobbly and very unsteady on his back legs but as soon as the adrenaline started to wear off it was evident his injuries were much worse than we could ever imagine.

So trips to the vets up to now have shown he does still have limited feeling in his back legs but he can’t stand or bear weight on them. The only way we are going to get any diagnosis, understanding or help for him is for him to have a private MRI scan at a specialist centre with what we are presuming will be extensive and high in cost.

Until this happens the only other option we had suggested was euthanasia, which we as a family would not want to “give up” as in the vets words “ he is still such a young lively dog and still has so much potential of life”
