Last night, our family went through something we never expected. My two-year-old sister accidentally let our dog, Ozzy Pawsbourne, out of the house. This morning, we tracked his airtag to a vet's office, and it turns out someone had hit him with a car. He was barely alive, and our hearts broke seeing him in so much pain. Ozzy is only about three and a half years old, and we’ve had him for two and a half years. Our grandpa saved him from being put down at a shelter and gave him to us, and he’s truly been the missing piece in our family.
Ozzy has always been gentle and loving, especially with the little kids in our family. Even when our sister was a newborn, he was careful and aware of her. When my five-year-old brother would jump on him or irritate him, Ozzy never got mad or aggressive. He’s always been protective, watching over us and making sure we’re safe from strangers at the door. He’s the best dog we’ve ever had, and we can’t imagine our family without him.
Right now, Ozzy has internal bleeding and a hip displacement, which are both very serious for dogs. The only way to save him is through surgery, but it’s something we can’t afford on our own. If he gets this surgery, he’ll have the chance to recover and live a long, happy life with us. We’re so grateful for any help, whether it’s a donation or just sharing Ozzy’s story. Thank you for caring about our family and giving Ozzy a chance to stay with us.
